The KidLit Pod will be launching June 2026. The aim of KLP is to be a hub of discussion for everything kid lit, where we’ll share opinions, thoughts, ideas, as well as research and science, all centred around a core theme: how we, in this all consuming digital age, convince kids to pick up a book rather than turn to a device.

KLP chats will take a broad scope, covering the kidlit industries in both NZ and Australia. We’ll speak with publishers to discuss what’s driving their acquisitions. Marketing teams to discuss trends and changes. Booksellers to share their observations. Librarians to understand what they’re seeing at the ground level. Teachers. Parents. Psychologists to discuss neural connectivity. And for authors and illustrators, KLP will delve deep to uncover the stories behind the stories.
